Integrating a classroom interaction tool like the KlickerUZH with a presentation tool like Microsoft PowerPoint enables lecturers to control everything related to their lecture from a consistent place. We are planning to develop an add-on for PowerPoint that allows users to start and execute a prepared KlickerUZH session (e.g., switch to the next block) and to display the evaluation results within PowerPoint (e.g., embedded on a slide).
This will address the following roadmap item:

Our new Add-in for Microsoft PowerPoint (current prototype shown above) for the upcoming KlickerUZH v3.0 will be available for testing in the upcoming spring term. If you participate in the beta testing of the KlickerUZH v3.0 at the University of Zurich, you will also be able to test the PowerPoint Add-in (if you wish). The PowerPoint Add-in allows you to:
- Start and control sessions (i.e., activate next block) from within an integrated sidebar
- Embed the evaluation view of questions directly on slides (e.g., question 1 on slide 3, etc.)
- Embed the leaderboard of a specific session on slides
- Embedded evaluations display the results in real-time, also while in presentation mode
To use the PowerPoint Add-in, you will need to create questions and session within the browser version of the KlickerUZH v3.0 and can then log in to your account within the PowerPoint sidebar. Only session control and evaluation can be performed from within the Add-in.
We are currently working on finalizing the Add-in for publishing in the internal catalog of the University of Zurich. We are also still investigating the possibilities of publishing the Add-in for users outside our home organization (i.e., not @uzh.ch).
